More From This Message
Philippians 2 calls us to model the humility of Christ, who, though equal with God, chose to empty Himself, serve others, and submit fully to the will of the Father. True humility isn’t about thinking less of ourselves—it’s about thinking of ourselves less. It’s a heart posture that values others, surrenders pride, and embraces sacrificial love. This kind of humility doesn’t come naturally; it flows from intimacy with God and a deep understanding of who we are in Him. As we walk in this Christlike humility, we reflect His nature to the world and create space for unity, healing, and divine purpose.
Reflection Questions:
In what areas of my life am I still holding onto pride or self-importance?
How can I intentionally serve others this week, following Christ’s example?
What would it look like for me to "consider others as more important than myself" (Phil. 2:3) in my daily life?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for modeling perfect humility. You gave up heaven’s glory to walk among us, serve us, and save us. Teach me to walk in that same spirit of surrender and love. Help me release pride, comparison, and selfish ambition so that I can reflect Your heart in all I do. Make me a vessel of unity, compassion, and grace. I want to live like You lived, love like You loved, and serve like You served. In Your holy name, amen.
